Commuter catastrophe

The Lee Roy Selmon Crosstown Expressway collapsed Tuesday due to an underground sinkhole. Commuters who travel to MacDill from the Brandon area via the crosstown can expect long delays and should find alternate routes in order to avoid heavy traffic. Construction officials say they expect to have traffic flow back to normal levels by Monday. However, construction won't resume until all repairs are made to ensure the structure is safe.
