Famous Airmen visit local High School

Four Tuskegee Airmen visited the MacDill Aeronautical Academy at Robinson High School Wednesday. The airmen gave speeches, took pictures with students, signed autographs and attended a luncheon with the students. The school's Principal, Dr. McCarthy, presented a certificate of proclamation on behalf of Tampa Mayor Dick Greco proclaiming Feb. 5 as MacDill Aeronautical Academy/Tuskegee Airmen Day. Dr. Yenwith Whitney, Lt. Col. (Ret.) Nasby Wynn, Henry Bohler and Tech. Sgt. (Ret.) Jean Esqerre were presented Enduring Freedom coins by Command Sgt Maj. Dwight J. Brown on behalf of Gen. Tommy Franks. The four airmen were also knighted as honorary knights by the school.
