You are not forgotten

Servicemembers from U.S. Central Command visited with veterans at the James A. Haley Veterans Affairs Medical Center March 4 to meet and talk with veterans injured in the line of duty. "We need to make every effort to go see and talk to the guys and gals to let them know they are not forgotten," said Army Major General James W. Comstock, Central Command Reserve Forces commander. "What they did is an honored sacrifice." Navy Petty Officer Third Class Pete Herrick, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion, Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida has been at the VAMC for more than eight and a half months. Petty Officer Herrick was injured during an attack on his tactical movement team. His wife, Diana, proudly remains at his side during his recovery.

Several base agencies participated in a major accident response exercise Wednesday to help prepare for the upcoming air show April 9 to 10. All-night softball tournament gives round-the-clock fun

The fourth annual All-Nighter Softball Tournament kicked off here Friday, where 14 teams competed in double elimination into Saturday morning. U. S. Central Command took home the honors after defeating U.S. Special Operations Command early Saturday morning.
