Tech. Sgt. Maaliq Love, a KC-135 engine specialist deployed to the 28th Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron, drains the oil from an aircraft engine during a 60-hour inspection. Tanker engines require a complete inspection every 60 hours in flight to ensure all systems work properly. Sergeant Love is deployed to this forward operating location from MacDill's 6th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.

MacDill’s Tech. Sgt. Michael Land deployed to Iraq with 407th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron Explosive Ordnance Disposal where he was the noncommissioned officer in charge of EOD Resources. Above, he operates a Remotec Mini-II Andros robot used to locate suspicious packages and keep EOD members at a safe distance from explosives.
Staff Sgt. Vicki Meyer, 6th Air Mobility Wing Public Affairs, currently deployed to Afghanistan, is pictured with a group of Afghan soldiers. Sergeant Meyer has been on a variety of humanitarian missions while deployed.
