CENTCOM athlete raises funds for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
When U.S. Central Command's Navy Lt. Don Bryant lines up for the start of the 2006 Walt Disney Marathon, he won't be competing just for himself. He'll also be raising funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Team In Training, Suncoast Chapter.
Lieutenant Bryant is fundraising as a part of Team in Training, the world's largest sports endurance training program, as well as the premier fundraising program for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. From the funds raised, 75 percent go directly back to the cause and helps with patient aid and research for those affected with a blood cancer.
This year, over 32,000 people will participate in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training (TNT) and raise over $81 million.
The 2006 Walt Disney Marathon will be held in Orlando, Fla. Jan. 8, 2006. To make a contribution, visit Lieutenant Bryant's TNT Website at www.active.com/donations/fundraise_public.cfm?key=bryantusn.
