Tinker Elementary registration and school choice info

Tinker Elementary School is a Hillsborough County School located on MacDill. Students are all military affiliated, most of whom reside on base. Tinker is, therefore, a community walk-in- school.

Tinker is naturally integrated with an ethnically and economically diverse student population of approximately 550. The school services students in grades kindergarten through five, with an average class size of 20.

2005-2006 Registration:

Returning students are automatically re-registered. New students may be registered until Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is especially important that children are registered so classroom assignments can be made.

School choice:

Tinker is a school of choice for active duty military personnel, retired military and civilian employees on MacDill. The Controlled Choice Plan gives parents an opportunity to choose a school, within a specific region or zone. Tinker parents have the following choices for elementary schools for 2004 - 2005: Anderson, Ballast Point, Chairamonte or Dale Mabry.
