Tampa Riverwalk Project to host second public input meeting
The city of Tampa and EDAW invites all base personnel to attend the second community meeting on the Tampa Riverwalk Project to provide thoughts on several master plan design concepts developed over the last few months.
The Tampa Riverwalk Project is a multi-purpose pathway linking recreational, entertainment, commercial and cultural uses along two and a half miles of the Garrison Channel and Hillsborough River.
EDAW, a leading land and environment-based planning and design firm, was hired by the City to develop a comprehensive master plan for the Riverwalk. An initial public meeting was held Sept. 20 to present background information and obtain general public input on the project. Information obtained at the first meeting has been taken into account by EDAW in developing master plan concepts which they will present to the public at this second public input meeting. EDAW will facilitate the forum and collect feedback from citizens to help select the preferred design concepts.
Dress is casual and snacks and beverages will be provided. There is a limited amount of free parking on the southwest side of the building. The overhead walkway from the Poe Parking Garage will lead directly to the second story meeting area.
All comments provided will help shape the final design of the exciting Tampa Riverwalk. The perspective and support of all base personnel is critical to a successful planning effort and all community residents are encouraged to attend.
