Health Benefits Open Season
The 2005 Federal Employees Health Benefits Open Season will start Monday and last to Dec. 12. Comparison charts and brochures are available online at http://www.opm.gov/insure/health/. Permanent full time/part time employees and temporary full time/part time employees who have one year or more of continuous employment may enroll or make enrollment changes. Please call the Benefits and Entitlements Service Team at Randolph AFB at 800-616-3775 during the open season time frame to enroll or make changes in your coverage.
River and Waterway Cleanup
The City of Tampa's 18th Annual Mayor's Hillsborough River & Waterways Cleanup will be held Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. More than 1,200 volunteers will participate in the event. There will be food, live music and the chance to participate in the "Rollin on the River Picnic." If you would like to volunteer, call 348-6507.
AFSA director to visit
The Air Force Sergeant's Association Director of Government and Military Relations will visit MacDill Nov. 28. There will be two enlisted briefs at the Base Theater one at 9 a.m. and another at 2 p.m. These briefings will give the enlisted personnel a great opportunity to here about the AFSA Legislative Process and how our quality of life, military pay and benefit issues are presented to Congress. This is also a great opportunity to garner a firm understanding of how professional organizations, like AFSA, work to voice concerns on Capital Hill. For questions, call Tech. Sgt. Top III scholarships
MacDill's Top III Association is offering two annual scholarships to recognize the contributions and continued service of the career enlisted force. All active duty enlisted personnel assigned in the Tampa Bay area on their second enlistment or career service and pursuing a Baccalaureate or Master Degree are eligible to apply. Cyber Crime Conference
The annual Department of Defense Cyber Crime Conference is scheduled for Jan. 10 to 13, in Clearwater, Fla. The conference will cover intrusion investigations, cyber crime law, digital forensics and information assurance, as well as the research, development, testing and evaluation of digital forensic tools.
